In addition to being a regional icon, this building is also a tourist place filled with historic stories. Check out all ten historic buildings below!

1. Clock Tower



Being an iconic building in West Sumatera especially in Bukittinggi, this building has also been legendary. A clock tower is a famous tourist attraction. 2. Maimun Palace

By combining Malay cultural heritage, along with the style of Islam, Spain, Indiam and Italy, this building feels unique and attractive.



3. Istiqlal Mosque


this one besides historic building is also quite famous for being the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. Located in the heart of the capital of Jakarta. As the national mosque of the Republic of Indonesia, of course, the construction was initiated by the President at that time, namely Ir. Soekarno. Construction began on August 24, 1951 and was designed by renowned architect Frederich Silaban who was a Christian Protestant. The mosque with terbaru architectural style is very beautiful with marble floor layers and geometric ornaments of stainless steel.


4. Satay tower


For citizens of Bandung certainly know the building of this one. This building has a uniqueness and is known for special ornaments at the peak of its shaped tower skewers. The building is quite old enough is still actively used as a central government of West Java. The architecture of this building is the work of Ir. K. Gerber and his design group and of course input from the Dutch architect Dr. Hendrik Petrus Berlage so that this building has nuances of traditional architecture of archipelago during the reign of Dutch East Indies.


5. Lawang Sewu


For this one building is not only known as the icon of Semarang city, which is also known for its kemistisannya. Lawang sewu, as its name is Thousand Doors, has many doors in it. The construction took quite a lot of time, 3 years from 1904 to 1907. This building was formerly used as a government office in the Dutch city.
